I suffer from mental health problems, anxiety depresion panic attacks social phobia
since i sent the reconsideration in I have had a relaspe and have now got a mental health social worker who comes to see me once a fortnight, my gp rings me once a fortnight and i am on long term assessment for mental health team.
all of this they do not know as I sent it back before all of this happened.
so now its gone to appeal without them knowing all of this? what should I do

Hi C,

If you have any relevant fresh evidence that the DM who reconsidered your ESA award was not aware of, I would send copy of it to the DM, by recorded delivery, ASAP, asking that they review your award again taking this new evidence into consideration.

I've been filling in the downloaded ESA50 form in preparation; and tried to make it very clear that my carer has to attach one of those trollys adapted to fit onto wheelchairs, so that she pushes both it and me at the same time. Also, that she now drives my car as I can't get my hands up onto the stearing wheel anymore and she reaches for all the goods we buy, so I don't touch them at all. This is all due to not being able to do any of this myself, I'm wondering if that's the sort of thing that might convey the sort of physical difficulty experienced.

Yes P,

It can only help your assessment by going into detail regarding your limitations, and what you can and can't do.

It is advisable to include as much detail as possible, and not make any assumptions that DWP/ATOS will understand and be aware of the limitations caused by your medical conditions.
