Today I rang the DWP to enquire why I had not received an acknowledgement of my appeal sent registered post 30.11.11. I had to wait 27 minutes on the phone (expensive).
I was then informed by the person responding, that I had been placed in the SG, I asked for this in writing, am not taking anything for granted without in being in black and white. I then enquired whether I should attend the medical, posted Atos form in December (so am expecting appoinment to come though soon) a year since my last one. Was told to ring Atos and say I was in SG, But I am thinking I may may as well attend, less hassle than more phone calls, am I right?. What I find so perplexing is that the appeal I posted in November 2011, was not much different to the appeal I sent in February last year, except that this time I asked for an oral hearing, thanks to all the info on this site

First I would like to say I hope all the members and Mods, had a peaceful and healthy christmas, and hoping this year is not too hard on us all, (we can dream) cannot take that away from us yet.

Hi r,
Am I right in assuming that you have been informed over the phone that you have now been placed in the SG, at automatic reconsideration stage, after appealing an adverse decision?

So re-appealed in November, after being told at a WFI that, a decision had been reached in July (I had nor been informed ) that I was to stay in the WRAG, this was when I contacted this site. Sorry it takes a long long time for me to type this.

Hi bro 58, yes you are right, I appealed last February, after being placed in WRAG.

Hi r,
If this decision to put you into the SG is the most current award, you should not need to attend a face to face assessment, if at all, until this current decision of SG is due for review, in which case your current award will be reassessed, which will probably mean that you will have to fill in another ESA50 etc.
You do need confirmation in writing from the DWP DM, of this reconsidered SG award.

Thank you very much for you help, if I receive an appointment from ATOS I will, ring them. I have asked for the decision to be placed in sg to be sent to me in writing.
O.K. r,
You may wish to request the relevant forms also, as applicable from here :
ESA Forms
ESA medical – what forms to ask for?
As you can see, there should definately be an LT54, because you have requested an appeal, and received an automatic reconsideration.
