Hi P,
It was originally stated by the DWP that SDA recipients would be transferred last, unfortunately it has not worked out that way.
Someone should be able to phone up on your behalf, they may be asked to answer a few security questions, such as your NI Number, and which benefit you are in receipt of.
As you will see from the information in the links below regarding the transfer, you do not have to answer any phone calls, or even give your telephone number out, if you do not wish to, the whole process can be done without any phone contact.
Firstly, you may wish to read :
Being transferred from incapacity benefit to employment and support allowance
Accessible from here :
ESA Guides
As you will see our other ESA Claims Guides, and The WCA Handbook are on the same page.
You may wish to use the Pdf Version of the ESA50, many members have, and found it much easier.
It can be downloaded from the link at the bottom of this page :
Use Of The Interactive PDF Version Of The ESA50 Questionnaire
You can fill this in whilst referring to the ESA Claims Guides.
You can access all our FAQ's from here :
FAQ’s
Pages from the FAQ's that may be of help, are :
When will I be transferred?
Who will be transferred?
The Transfer Process
What will I be transferred to?
What will I be Paid?
How long do I have to complete the ESA50?
How often will I be reviewed
Qualifying for the WRAG
Qualifying for the Support Group
It may seem a lot to take in, but it is well worth the reading.
If you have any general questions after reading the above, please come back to the forum.

Hi P,
I should have posted this link as well :
Answering a phone call from the DWP or ATOS
It is worth perusing our FAQ's as there is much more information than the links to the pages that I have given you.

Hi Potter,
Really feel for you. Wish you lots of luck with the transfer. What was the actual date of the letter you got today? Just like to add the guides on this brilliant site are fantastic. Keep copies of everything, and if you can ask the benefits people to correspond with you by letter as the process goes along if you cannot handle dealing with phonecalls. It is worth a shot. Lots of luck!
