Timing of dates and payments was created by TTD
I sent my ESA50 on 13th March 2012. I got told that I was being migrated on 13th July, when my IB would stop, and I would receive my first ESA payment. All fair and well, but. . .
I received my ESA85A yesterday, which shows the report date as 10th April. Why did it take them three months to start my ESA payment i.e. 10th April - 13th July? I've looked here, and under your Transfer Process #10, The Decision is actioned on your Effective Transfer Date. This date is typically 2-3 weeks after the Decision is made, you continue to receive your existing benefit until this date.
I'm going from higher rate IB to Support Group, with a WCA. Should I receive a back payment? Does anyone know? I know it's not a lot of money that's involved, but better in my pocket than theirs.
Thanks,

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

The ESA85a is the medical report produced by an ATOS "doctor" when no face to face assessment is made.
This is sent to a DWP Decision Maker who actually makes the Decision. Based on your post this Decision was probably made at the end of June.
I'm afraid the ESA rate applies from the Date of Transfer, not before, so there can be no back payments.
