Recoded medical problems!

Thank you i am hoping they will let me have a Saturday appointment as it means no hassle getting somebody to come with me. if its in the week my partner will have to take the day off work and loose £60! do you know if they have any flexibility with the appointments or will they simply refuse you any thing other than the next available one?

Hi SM,

As Gordon has already stated, you are allowed to re-arrange once.

I am not sure how flexible that they will be, with respect to your wife being able to attend with you, without losing a days pay.

It may well be worth while informing them of this fact now by E-Mail at : This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Maybe you could put your request in such a way that your wife has trouble gaining time off,(if that is the case) and you are therfore requesting an assessment at the weekend, as you need her to accompany you.

Maybe tell them that you are making the request in order to save them the inconvenience of having to make a home visit

WOW i think i just have my first positive experience with atos, i rang the today to re arrange the appointment to a time when i know my partner can take time off work without loosing money and they lad on the phone was genuinely really helpful and looked specifically for a time and date that would suit are needs.

I am glad to har that SM Don't forget that the staff on the phone are often badly paid and poorly trained - but they are still human and some of them are genuinely doing their best.
