Incapacity to WRAG ( no medical) was created by Karlo
Hi everyone. Received letter today from DWP stating I've been placed in the WRAG. Usual stuff 365 days blah blah right to appeal etc.

I'm pleased I never had to attend a medical and I can't decide if I can be bothered to appeal, as I have a year and can cope with work interviews. So I'll take the weekend to think things through. Although I feel that I meet the criteria for the support group on at least two and probably three descriptors.

The guides helped no end so thanks for those. The form was returned via recorded delivery on the 7/11/12 and signed for on the 9/11/12. The letter from the Job Centre is dated the 25/11/12 so a very quick turn around!

For all those going through migration or waiting or new claims keep strong and don't let the b****rs grind you down!

Hi K,

Well done on being placed into The WRAG without a face to face.

As I am sure you are aware, you have one month to appeal from the date of the ESA WRAG award letter using GL24 Form which can be downloaded from the link on this page :

How to submit an appeal

Just to remind you, that many members have been successfully placed into The SG from WRAG at the automatic reconsideration stage. In saying that, it is only a decision that you can make.

I did find your post a bit contradictory, in that, you state :

"can cope with work interviews." and then go on to say :

"I meet the criteria for the support group on at least two and probably three descriptors."

Being placed into the SG means that you have "Limited Capability for Work Related Activity" (Work Related Activity includes WFI's)

If you feel that you have any further queries please repost and we will try to help.

I feel I can cope better with work interviews than possibly losing it all and/or attending a face to face assessment as part of the appeals process, bro! If that makes sense?

Hi K,

My comments were not meant as any form of critism. :)

I was just posing a question which ATOS or The DWP may also pose, if you made similar comments to them.

Also a friend has recently been placed in the support from WRAG after reconsideration and been awarded it for 6 months. These sort of things make me extremely dubious of "stirring the hornets nest"

Now I am confused K. :)

Surely, if your friend was placed into The SG from WRAG that is a positive.
