Back in August we asked you to support MIND in providing evidence to Professor Harrington’s review of the work capability assessment.  We’ve since heard back from Tom Pollard at MIND, who asked us to pass on the following:

Dear Benefits & Work subscriber,

I just wanted to say thanks to all those people that responded to our call-for-evidence around welfare and benefits for people with mental health conditions. The huge response we received has really helped to consolidate our evidence-base on this issue, which will strengthen our policy and campaigning. These contributions also informed our response to the Independent Review of the WCA. If you would like to read the response we submitted, then you can download it here. We have also recently posted a blog about our submission to the consultation and where our campaign goes from here. We really appreciate your support and hope that, together, we can make a real difference.

Thank you,

Tom Pollard
Policy & Campaigns Officer
Mind

Here at Benefits and Work we’d also like to add our own thanks to members who were able to respond to MIND – it’s very encouraging for us to know what committed subscribers we have.
