I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone at B&W for their invaluable guides (which I also used years ago for a DLA renewal) as I have just heard I have been put in the Support Group for contribution-based ESA. This was after a very worrying wait of 10 MONTHS without any contact from the DWP whatsoever. I keep checking the letter as after such a long wait it seems unreal. I could not have done it without your wonderful guides - which I will be using again when the letter comes saying I have to transfer from DLA to PIP.

Thanks also for the great advice from the moderators on this site and also for the regular Newsletters which kept me informed and reminded me I wasn't alone.

The letter does not say how long the award is for but I know to phone and ask for these details. I remember reading a post on here a while ago where the advice was also to ask for the reasons and points that contributed to the award (I think it might have been a reply from bro58) - is this a particular document, does it have a reference code, do they give this information in writing (so I have it to hand for future renewals)? Or do they just give you some info over the phone (that would be very difficult for me)?

Thanks again to all concerned - I would be completely lost without the guides.

  			 				Hi Sandhead,

That is good news! thanks for letting us know and for your kind words about B+W

You can write and request the paperwork associated with your claim, if you prefer. this PIP will tell you about the forms, even though you did not have a 'medical'.

ESA medical – what forms to ask for?
