hi my dla was up for renewel on 1 aug 2014.i have today got a form but is not for pip but for dla again.i thought all new claims would be for pip?i phoned them and was told i had got correct form as my area must not be one of the areas for pip.i live in the wigan area has i have little trust in the things that dwp do can you confirm that my claim should be for dla thx

Only those in an active PIP area and further, only those who's renewal occurs more than 20 weeks after that area goes "live" will be invited to claim PIP. The following has the currently active postcodes.
As you have been sent DLA forms then you should complete and return them by the required date, please be aware that you should treat this as a new claim and complete the form in detail and supply any evidence you have even if you have done this previously.
