Capita assessments was created by ginseng
I am at present trying to claim Pip, after receiving DLA, higher rate mobility and lower rate care. My paperwork (filled in using pip guide) was received by Dwp on 28th March 2014. I was asked to go for a Capita assessment on 6th May. I went to the assessment centre only to be told that it had been cancelled. They had tried to phone me on the morning of the assessment but being disabled I didn't get to the phone on time and the number was witheld.
My current award ends on 21st June, should I contact Capita or the Dwp about this? I'm really stressed about this, as if I loose my car, I'm stranded. Can anyone advise?

Your DLA will remain in payment until four weeks after a Decision is made on your PIP claim so there should be no need for you to worry about this, however long it takes for you to be assessed.
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

I don't know if you have realised that your real name is showing? Many people prefer to use an alias in order to maintain a degree of anonymity. If you wish to change your username you can do so by following the advice in this FAQ.

As long as you have complied with the demands of the PIP application process (by completing and returning your paperwork, for instance) then your DLA will remain in payment until 4 weeks after a decision is made on your PIP. It might be worth contacting the motability scheme to discuss this so that there are no nasty surprises.
If you have any further questions please reply to this post, we will do our best to help.
