I qualify for 12 points in a number of the care [non mobility] questions, but no points in others.
Do you know what the total points is that you need to qualify?

You need to score 8 points for the Standard rate and 12 for the Enhanced one, our experience is that claimants tend to over score themselves when looking at the criteria so it would be worth going through them again with a very critical eye.

Hi,
As an aside, if your forum name is also your real name, you may wish to change it to maintain some anonymity.
This can be done quite easily by following the instructions on this FAQ :

So if I scored, say, 8 for washing and bathing I would only need to
score 4 points total for all the other categories?
Or if I scored 12 for washing and bathing, I wouldnt need to score
anything elsewhere?

Yes, that's right. For enhanced care it is 12 points across all the care descriptors.

You need to score a total of 8-11 or 12 or more points across questions 1 to 10 for the Care component and 8-11 or 12 points or more across questions 11-12 for the a Mobility award.
You can only score once for each question.
