Well I submitted my claim in October 2013, and I won't go into details, but have a progressive condition with little hope of improvement.
Despite a fabulous GP's report, and support from consultants, was told I'd need a medical. So we get to today, and I've had FIVE home visits cancelled. Then I receive the dreaded brown envelope, informing me I've been awarded enhanced mobility and daily living until 2020. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy, relieved, and a whole gamut of other emotions. But what ticked me off is they've stated on the letter they've made this decision from "the information provided in the report from your General Practioner". Erm, why couldn't they have done that nearly a year ago?!
But I guess the moral of the story is you CAN get there eventually, without necessarily being subject to the ritual humiliation of one of their medicals!!
Good luck everyone, thoughts are with you.
