Have been in receipt of mobiity higher rate and care lower rare Dla for 5 years.
Filled out the forms for pip in March this year and attended an assessment in May, which was canceled by Capita. (Even though I turned up at the appointment)
Finally attended an actual assessment last Thursday. It was nothing like the assessments I've attended in the past by Atos for DLA. There was no physical exam . The assessor just asked me to move my arms try to touch my feet . He was a really nice person, who seemed to understand my mobility issues and the problems I have with just 'living' every day.
I came out the appointment a bit 'stunned'. Quite frankly I am still a bit stunned and wonder if anyone else has felt like this.
Also am very, very worried about the outcome. Was told by the assessor that it'd be 4 to 6 weeks, so I've got a month or two to experience daily anxiety .

On the whole members have reported that a positive experience during the assessment I don't think we have had enough feedback to say whether this correlates to their results.
I am afraid that most PIP Decision are taking 6-8 weeks although there is some variation in this.

Hi, got my face to face at home on Thursday, like you been getting DLA for 8 years, so hope you've done ok, I'm glad mine will soon be over the worry is starting to make me ill.
