DLA Renewal was created by Twist
Hi,
First of all I was very surprised to get a DLA renewal paper work through the post as I expected it to be change to PIP. When I originally claimed I hadn't heard of your website so had help from the CAB.
I was initially turned down but I appealed, I had asked them to send me the paper work on the decision that had been made. They had made several mistakes, including my age! and also there were unfinished sentences that related to my walking, I wrote and pointed all this out and asked them to contact my consultant which they did. I was given Middle care and higher rate mobility.
So I am now filling in the renewal forms and have been reading your information. I do not have a firm DX but it is thought that I have Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, so I had a look at your A-Z of medical conditions to find that under condition it is considered - Work Related Upper Limb Disorder (WRULD) Which surprised me as all the research I have done it has never been described as this!
It can cause server pain in one or all limbs and normally starts with an injury in one limb and then can spreads to other limbs, it can go on to affect your internal organs too.
So this description seems totally inappropriate!
Any way I continue to fill in the forms using your help.
Thank you
Sue

Hi Sue,
RSD is also known as chronic regional pain syndrome. Try looking that up and see if it is a better fit for your symptoms.

Ah
I'm afraid that this document originated from DWP so you will have to show how and why your symptoms differ from what they might be expecting.
