ESA Decision Letters do not specify the length of the award as ESA is awarded indefinitely. You can find out when you are likely to be re-assessed by contacting the DWP office that dealt with your transfer, the number will be on the letters you have received from them, just ask for your re-assessment date.

At the same time you can request the documents used in the making of the Decision, the following has a list of documents that may be available, you want to make sure that you request the ESA85(a) in particular.

It should be possible to make the request over the phone, but results can be variable, they will either supply the documents quite quickly or not at all, making the request in writing should ensure delivery but it often takes much longer for the documents to arrive.

Write to or phone the office on the latest letter you have received from the DWP about ESA.
