i am in receipt of contribution based esa support group also in receipt of dla with savings over 16 thousand pounds. i receieve no income related benefits. do i need to inform anyone? thank you

Just to be clear it is not the group you are in but the type of ESA that you are receiving which defines whether it is Contribution Based or not.
If you are receiving ESA(CB) only then there is no requirement for you to notify the DWP if you have savings in excess of £16,000 as ESA(CB) is not affected by your savings and assets.
