Got my letter on the 28th November with 0 points.
I called on the 5th December to ask for a copy of the report and to ask them for a MR. I explained that I am in the process of writing in with further evidence. I was told to expect a call from a decision maker.
So I didn't hear anything so called again on the 12th December and was told that a copy of the report had been requested (but not sent out yet) and that no MR was on the system. I asked again for it to be logged and that I had sent the letter to them that day with further evidence.
So, heard nothing, called today (16th) and (surprise, surprise) there is no request for MR on the system

When she looked further into it my case had been closed on the 11th December but no call back to me had been made an no MR had been done!!
I got this ladies full name and she has assured me that she will log on the system that I want a MR and that I have sent further evidence in.......what do I do now?........it is coming very close to the 4 week time limit

Hi dc22,
I am sorry to hear this !!

We always advise that any verbal request for an MR made over the phone is backed up with a formal written request making it absolutely clear that you are requesting a Mandatory Reconsideration of the adverse decision.
Sending Documents to the DWP or ATOS
This formal written request should be posted to arrive at the DWP office no later than close of business, one month from the date of the adverse decision notice letter.
You could write this up and post it ASAP to protect your right to MR/Appeal.
I have heard from several PIP claimants who have been promised a phone call from the DM to discuss the decision, only for the phone call not to occur.
Again, I would always advise that a formal written MR request is posted to the DWP ASAP within the one month deadline.
If the DM does call, you have lost nothing.
Have you read through our : PIP MR/Appeals Guides. ?
