Child Benefit was created by Rubyred
I know nothing of claiming for children but my new job means I should know something.

So if CB has been claimed for a child and that child reaches 18 but is still in education is the CB still paid. Im talking about children with severe learning difficulties/autism who are not able to claim Job Seekers or other relevant benefits paid to adults looking for work.

Thanks

Hi Rubyred,

I'm afraid that we do not deal with child benefit. However, according to the official government site, child benefit can be claimed up to the age of 20 so long as the 'child' stays in education or a recognised training scheme.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
