Had my face to face on Wednesday just gone (25th). Think it went well, the lady doing the assessing was nice, appeared to listen and looked to be typing pretty much everything I said into her computer.
Now, let's assume (dangerous I know) that I get the award I think I'm entitled to, if it's an increase financially will it be backdated to when I was invited to apply for PIP (as my DLA award was expiring)? Or is it more likely to start from the assessment date?
Still not holding out much hope they'll come through for me but am keeping my fingers crossed while waiting..
Your DLA will continue to be paid until 4 weeks after the PIP decision, whatever that is. After that, the PIP decision will come into effect and you will be paid - or not - accordingly.
