Providing the claim can be done completely over the phone (i.e. no additional paperwork is required) then it should be about 10 working days.

Hello all, I'm new to this too and I'm currently in the process of Med Discharge - P8 etc. Have used the very excellent B&W guides to claim PIP (follow them to the word and you can't go wrong), which is currently under mandatory reconsideration.
Have the Maximus medical tomorrow and keep getting lots of forms from Norcross.
I'm happy to help out any MOD pers if you need advice and find yourself up the creek and in need of a paddle shop.
