Hi
I currently have an indefinate award for the mobility component of DLA and have asked them to look at it again as I have recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and need a lot more care. I use an attendant wheelchair but am unsure of the DWP's view on using walking sticks.
I am not in a PIP area. I would appreciate your advice as what should be included on the DLA form.
Many thanks

A walking stick will be counted as an aid, if you can walk with a stick and not without, then it will count against you as you will be considered able to walk.

Thank you for your replies, I have been using your site a few years now and have been using the guide you kindly posted the link for. I was a bit confused using a stick or mobility scooter being detrimental to a claim.
