Im one of the people who bank with the NatWest and had a delay in my benefit being paid in this week. This for me is that last straw with the Natwest and Im closing my account. I want to write to whoever deals with benefit payments and inform them of my new bank account but its hard to know where to send it!

My benefit letters have all sorts of different addresses on them, although they seem to be the same address! Eg: one is Personal Independence Payment 1, Mail Handling Site A, Wolverhampton, WV98 1AA and another is Hanley Benefit Centre, Post Handling Site B, Wolverhampton, WV99 1DF. Can I just send one letter to one of these addresses asking for the change to both ESA and PIP?

You need to inform both the ESA and PIP departments of your change of bank, the payment systems are administered separately for each benefit.

You should use the address on the last letters that you have received for each benefit but if you are still worried about the address, give the two departments a phone call. You may be able to get the payment details modified over the phone, but I would still confirm the request in writing.
