getting dressed part of washing and bathing? was created by carl30
Just got my statement of reasons back and although there are a few things that i disagree with, this one really surprises me.
They have decided that motivation to get changed comes under washing and bathing, rather than dressing and undressing.
Id already managed prompting for washing and bathing, and it appears they have grouped getting dressed with it in order to prevent me from gaining an extra 2 points. There logic is that the clothes are dirty and need washing, therefore its washing and bathing.
As another note my statement of reasons didn't make one mention of any legislation.

As you have probably surmised for yourself the Washing and Bathing Descriptor makes no reference to clothing and Dressing and Undressing Descriptor makes no reference to washing, nor does the PIP Assessment guide, so any link that the DM has made would likely be an error.
However as always, not allocating points incorrectly does not mean that you should score points (I hope that not too many double negatives), you would still need to show that you meet the criteria for the points.
The DM's Statement of Reasons is not required to reference the legislation relevant to the claim, is there a particular reason that you need it to?
