Universal Credit was created by Bill
Hello Mods,
We are not quite sure if we are going to be affected by UC or not and wondered if you could help please?
Bill is in Support Group and I am his Carer full time. He claims for me (as a couple) so in effect I dont actually claim for myself.
I get Carers Allowance and do no other work at all.
Can you tell me if we will be included in a transfer to UC please?
Thank you.
Mrs Bill

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Based on current plans your ESA will be transferred to UC at some point in the future but I would not worry about it at the moment, the project is so far behind that it could be years before you are transferred, in fact at the moment ESA claimants are prohibited from claiming UC..
