PIP awards being stopped for no reason! was created by francis1969
Am I the only person to have recently noticed a few posts & comments from various sources that successful PIP claimants have had awards stopped suddenly for no reason?

The claimants haven't given change or circumstances or been re-assessed or even been reported! It seems the few I have read have had PIP ceased by DWP for no given reasons!

Surely this cannot be right as this would mean DWP have power to look at awards, apparently for no reason whatsoever, and with no further information of any description and decide that a claimant no longer entitled!

Obviously, I do not want to scare readers, but something seems to being going on!

I'm certainly unaware of this happening, perhaps you can provide a link to the information?

The DWP cannot close a claim without making a new Decision, that Decision has to be notified to the claimant in writing and would carry a right of appeal.
