Many thanks
In general aids and appliances are a positive thing for PIP, however, your ability to climb stairs is not directly tested under PIP but it may be relevant to activities such a Managing Toilet Needs if you do not have a downstairs toilet.
From a negative aspect if you are trying to score points for Washing and Bathing and Dressing and Undressing because you cannot do them first thing and cannot climb the stairs until bedtime, then you may not score as many points as you expect, but should still score some, but it will very much depend on the nature of your problems and the impact they have on you.
