PIP penalised if you "potter" about your home.

I have just spoken to a descission maker today, to be told that their guidelines state:
If a person is able to walk about in their home using mobility aids, they are automatically assessed as being able to walk more than 20 meters.

I told the assessor that I have no option to use my wheelchair in my home, as it is very small, cramped and doorways not wide enough. My home is only 28feet (8.5 meters) long and 12 feet (3.6 meters) wide. Assessor has said she might be able to reconsider if I can get a letter from my GP confirming my limited walking ability. Otherwise, the guidelines stand.

Has anyone else been stung by this?

I seem to remember am update to the guidance on walking distances, but I can't find a reference to it on the site and I'm not 100% certain it was for PIP, I'll keep looking.

It is certainly worth challenging, I walk in my house everyday as part of my recovery programme and there is no journey I can do (on one floor) that is more than 15m.

I managed to track down the change in guidance, unfortunately it is not helpful, it was for ESA and referred to a distance of 50m not 20m.

Sorry if I got your hopes up.
