Retired women transfer from DLA to PIP

I'm a retired female born Feb 1951 so I've been on retirement pension for four years. I'm in receipt of DLA indefinitely. I will be 65 in Feb 2016 so why will I still have to transfer to PIP when I haven't been of working age since 2011? I don't understand this as I thought the transfer over to PIP was for working age people. Does the transfer not allow for women who retired at sixty? Could I make a legal challenge against this?

Hi h,

I am afraid that PIP Legislation states that all DLA recipients who were not 65 years of age on 08/04/13 will be transferred over to PIP, so there is no option of a legal challenge due to your age.

You may find : This Post informative with respect to the DLA to PIP transfer process.
