Transferring from JSA to ESA was created by EJ
:( transferring from JSA to ESA tried to find out from DWP if mortgage interest repayments continue but ask the question and no one knows or wants to know. Has anyone faced this problem and is there a solution. Before you claim interest payments you have to wait 13 weeks from start of benefits do you have to wait another 13 weeks when you transfer benefits. If you have had this problem any advice would be welcome.

Hi EJ,

We don't advise on SMI !

However, as well as being in receipt of Income Based JSA, being paid Income Related (IR) ESA is also one of the criteria for : SMI Eligibility.

There is more info over on : The Shelter Website

Failing that, you could try putting Welfare Rights/Advice for your Town/Postcode into Google.

It should be carried across without problem.
