Hello l have been waiting some considerable time for a reply from the DWP on my mandatory consideration ( 7 weeks ) is this a normal time to wait. I sent a doctors letter at their request with an explanatory letter about why I felt their decision was wrong,and sent this by recorded delivery.

MR's usually take around 4 weeks, so 7 weeks is longer than the norm.
It can take longer if they are contacting your G.P. for Further medical Evidence. (FME)
My best advice would be to contact DWP for an update.
