PIP Decision letter success but still worrying! was created by anitairene
Hi, fantastic news I received my decision letter today two and a half weeks after f2f. I have been awarded standard rate for personal care and enhanced rate mobility. I was previously on the same rates for DLA so I am very pleased with the outcome.
I cannot however stop worrying about having to go through it all again. I have been given the award until November 2019 but from what I have read on the site I will be called to make application for PIP again in November 2018, a full year ahead. Am I right about this?
Also can you tell me if it is likely that second time around PIP applicants have their previous application taken into account when making a renewal.I know that many people have already gone through this ordeal more than once.
Back to the positive, I am most grateful to receive such a wonderful result. I would just like to say thank you to this site and all the moderators who freely give their time to others. I don't know what I would have done without your help. I hope Santa brings you an extra large orange for your stocking this Christmas!!!!
P.S.I will send in my medical report when I receive it.

That is great news! Thanks for letting us know and for your kind words about B+W
Yes, it is currently DWP practice to start the reassessment process 1 yr before the end date of the award. We have no way of knowing whether this will still be the case in 2 year's time, DWP are currently moving the goalposts frequently
I do hope you are able to put this behind you for a while and not worry too much about it.
