when to expect esa renewal

hi everyone,i contacted dwp after my last award in 2013 and was told my date for esa re assessment was 15th jan 2016 , when can i expect the renewal form as i have heard nothing yet and i am tempted to call them but not wanting to set any reminders to them i am unsure about what to do, i thought the forms were sent out about a month in advance or have i got the dates wrong, many thanks. bb

ESA Reassessments for current ESA recipients have just re-started for "some" claimants after being deferred since January 2014 :

As you can see we have no further information of "who" will be reassessed, and "when"!

My best advice would be to ring ESA to try and ascertain the expected date for your reassessment and/or prepare as best you can by having a PDF ESA50 on the go, for when you receive yours through the post :

The forms are usually sent out several months before the expected date of reassessment so I would have expected you to have had yours some weeks ago if the January date is being used.

If it were me I would tend to let sleeping dogs lie and not contact them.

However I would still start putting evidence etc in place for when the dreaded envelope does drop through the letterbox.

hi everyone, just to let you know i have now been in contact about my re assessment date and they confirmed that the date i can expect my esa 50 renewal is now November 2017 so deferred for 2 years but they did say i can be sent one at any time between now and the new date. very happy now i can relax for a while and just concentrate on when my dla to pip will come through the post. happy new year to all. bb
