Yesterday I received PIP medical for Dec.24th at 9am in Exeter. From where I live in Hatherleigh it is an 1 1/2 one way journey by public transport. Therefore a 3 hour+ trip.
I have Fibromyalgia and presently recovering from a breakdown which I have anxiety attacks and depression that is debilitating.
I cannot drive due to the new meds given to me either.
How do I handle this?
I know it should be a 90min public transport trip but my mental health is so fragile I will go into a panic attack, as I am not ready for crowds or confrontation with unsympathetic assessors.
Please advise asap as i want to deal with it asap to calm myself down.
thank you
Hellyn

You can ask for the appointment to be moved to a more convenient town or ask for a home visit, you will need a GP's letter for the latter explaining why you cannot attend. Moving the current appointment will count as one of your two strikes for attending, so you will have to attend the next booked appointment, however inconvenient, or risk your PIP claim being closed.
