Can anyone give me any advice on second bedroom tax??? I'm struggling to maintain this house and pay 50 pounds month for second room! On ESA and pip!

Hi Sm55,

We do not advise on Bedroom Tax.

However, there have been some successful appeals against having to pay Bedroom Tax as seen : Here

If you feel that you fall under any of the criteria covered by the successful appeals, you would have to write to your LA/Council and appeal yourself.

If not, your only other option is to apply for : Discretionary Housing Payments. (DHP's)

DHP applications are made to your LA/Council HB Dept using the correct applications form which can generally be found on your LA/Council Website.
