Hi I am in esa support group. Does esa stop at age 65yr or does it carry on till state retirement age which in my case is 66yr? And what if anything takes over from esa at state retirement age if esa stops?

As ESA is a "Working Age Benefit" you will receive it, as long as you continue to qualify, until you reach State Pension Age. (SPA)

You should receive your State Pension Claim Pack some months before your SPA.

Where applicable, you may be given the option to claim Pension Credit before reaching SPA.

This being the case you should seek advice from The CAB, AGE UK or the like to see what is best for you.
