I was awarded PIP at Enhanced DC to December 2016 and had an "intervention" (At least was told what that was!) in November 2015 from the DWP. After completing the form, going for an ATOS assessment in December 2015. I was also awarded Standard Mobility.
The date of the "new payment" has been given from the date the decision was made by the DWP (15th January 2016) NOT the date that the "intervention" form was completed.
Is this correct? It does seem a bit strange after all the decision might have been made a few weeks ago, or not for a few weeks!
I have rang them but was informed that it is the date the decision is made. Is this correct?
It would be dependant on who initiated the re-assessment, your posts suggests that it was the DWP in which case I would expect it to apply from when the Decision was made with no backdating.
