Should I be chasing for info re PIP claim?

I recently (as appointee) sent my son's PIP form in. He had previously been on DLA so was being transfered to PIP (hopefully!) Form was due on 15/1/16 and we sent it special delivery on 11/1/16 arriving at the address on envelope on 12/1/16, so in plenty of time. As yet we have had no acknowledgement nor heard anything regarding F2F or anything else. Can anyone advise if this is the norm or should I be chasing it up. I do not know who is doing the assesments if Atos, Capita or Maximus. Have no idea who to contact. Your help as always much much appreciated.

The DWP used to acknowledge the forms being returned but they now only seem to do it by SMS if they have a mobile number for you.
I would ring the DWP, the number should be on the letters you have had about the claim to see what is going on, they should be able to tell you which Assessment Provider covers your area, it will be either ATOS of Capita, you can then contact them as necessary.
Contact ATOS
