My granddaughter, who has Learning Difficulties is on DLA and has just completed a PIP Claim Form. Her mother has filled it in as fully as she can and sent supporting evidence : Statement of SEN, Report by professional psychologist on her learning difficulties gained from Standardised Tests that they use.
She is nearly 21 and has received lowest level DLA for some years.
Does everyone who claims PIP from DLA have to have a Face to Face Assessment?
The majority of new PIP claims will require a face to face assessment, it is more likely to be required where the claimant is receiving the Lower rate of DLA Care as there is no equivalent to this in PIP and the assessor will either be recommending a higher award or none at all.
