Esa award - backdated rate? was created by Scotboy
I was awarded Esa wra group, many thanks for your advice. Its been just over a week and no official letter other than one sent the day of my appeal hearing, which I think is not related to that as it confirms my PiP related premium and esa at the exisitng assessment rate of £73 per week.

Once on Esa WRA group is it £103 per week and if so should that be requested to be backpaid from the date of my ESA appeal being lodged? thanks

Once the DWP accept the Tribunal Decision any back payments will be paid automatically. If this was a new claim for ESA then the WRAG rate will be paid from the beginning of week 14, if it was a re-assessment then it will be from the date of the Decision appealed.

Do they write to tell you decision accepted, haven't heard for over a week?

Yes, you should receive a Decision Letter confirming the WRAG placement and a letter detailing the new payment rates.

I would chase them if you haven't heard by Monday.
