hi I have a face to face assessment on 19/02/2016 for pip I will be 68 yrs old in july but I have been told by gp and hospital that dwp have not asked for any medical reports I did have a assessment for dla in july 2013 but still left on dla not put on to pip eventhough I had gone 65 I have asked my gp about report but he refuses to give me one same as hospital so it looks like I am going for assessment and they will use medical records 2 yrs old is this legal
I have been on dla for 23 yrs and had loads of medicals so I don't know if this is good or bad

I'm afraid there is no legal requirement for them to contact any of the doctors you may have listed on the PIP2 and the reality is that they rarely do.
You mention some DLA reports from a couple of years ago, was this information that you supplied as part if your claim or were you relying on the DWP sourcing it themselves? If you are relying on those assessing you to retrieve this information then I can't offer any guarantees that they will.
PIP has different criteria from DLA and has been structured to be much more difficult to receive an award, the former looks at the severity of your problems whereas DLA looked at the amount of care that you needed. Also, the assessment approach is very different.

thankyou when I had to phone they asked if they could use all information including medical reports that they had on me so I thought I had to agree

It's very unlikely that it will cause problems with your claim but I would not rely on the evidence being used by those assessing to support your claim.
