Help or not for PIP form completion?

I don't think there is a clear answer to this, to a considerable extent it will depend on how good the advisor is (see below) and how capable you think that you are.

A good advisor, if you can actually find one will have experience of answering many forms and can use this to enhance your one, however, they may not have a lot of time to spend with you and therefore the form may not be as detailed as you would like.

Completing the form yourself can be very stressful, it can be difficult admitting that you have the level of disability that you may suffer from, even using the guides you may things that are important, our experience from the forum is that members often misinterpret the criteria against which they are being assessed or fail to take all of the elements to an activity into account.

The bottom line is that it is your claim, so even if you use an advisor, that does not mean that you cannot use your own content and understanding how the system works (from the guides) allows you to provide more detailed input to how an advisor might complete the form.
