I'm sorry I was thinking that you meant a new claim for ESA(CB) which would fail.
Providing there has been no break in your claim since you were ion IB, then the claims will link and if you are placed in the SG then you would again be entitled to Contributions Based ESA from the date of the Decision and while you remain in the SG.

I am beyond exhausted and just need to check itis worth the time/stress. Just to clarify the second paragraph in your reply, should my application be successful, would i qualify for cb esa (sg)?
Many thanks

Finally i have my decision!
I have found out that i have been put into the support group following my supersession! No medical and its backdated to 1st march which is a big shock and welcome suprise.
I was anticipating a 12 month award and to be reapplying over Christmas but have just got off the phone and its up for review in 2018!!
This has been a year long nightmare. I hope now to have a breather from dealing with the DWP and be able to concentrate on my health, getting as well as possible.
Thank you b&w. I have gone through an unjustified suspension of esa, transfer to pip and requesting to go into the support group. It has taken exactly a year. At times it has pushed me into very dark places. Your guides, forum and support have seen me through and i hope i can have a rest now.
