Direct payments financial assessment was created by 1legmummy
I had my finically assessment today - to my surprise I have to make a contribution of £35 a week.

When I was working and claiming Carers allowance for my disabled son I paid no contribution.

I am now not working and in support group ESA (income based) and have to pay a contribution

So they take into account your ESA but not your wages.

Can someone explain to me please??

I'm sorry but this is not a benefit that we deal with on the forum I would recommend that you get face to face advice from a trained advisor.
