Hi,
I was wondering how long people had to wait for their tribunal to come through.
Basically I failed my PIP assessment in December. Then they did the mandatory appeal process before I sent off the evidence, before the deadline, and despite saying they would wait for my evidence. Now it is going to tribunal and is four months since the original decision. I have had forms from the office, and sent evidence that the DWP have replied to so I know they have my records.

My worry is, I was in such a state and struggling to function, after a number of complaints, they reinstated my DLA. Great financially but has left me stuck in other ways. I do not have my blue badge, lost my disability class on my car, and cannot reapply due to my DLA on a time schedule whilst the tribunal happens.

So how long have people had to wait? And many thanks in advance.

I would ring the Tribunal Service for an update.

Most Tribunals are heard within 2-3 months of the MR being completed, but there are some areas of the country where it can be longer, the SW would be one.

I am very surprised that your DLA has been re-instated, my understanding is that the legislation does not allow this unless the requirement for you to claim PIP is withdrawn, in which case there would be no Decision for you to appeal!

Hi Thirty

If it's any help, I had been waiting close to 7 weeks before a date was set for my tribunal which is now going ahead in early May, so in all, by the time my appeal is heard it will be 3 months from MR to appeal.

When I first began the PIP process I was very stressed for weeks on end, but recently I have accepted that you simply have to be patient and I am actually relieved that I will finally have the chance to present my claim to someone who will at lest consider my circumstances.
