If someone is receiving carers allowance for their partner but are soon to be pension age can it be changed so the partner receives disability premium or sda instead?
The partner is on Contributory ESA support group and gets £108 a week and has enhanced pip on both mobility and care. The carer has an Occupational pension and receives carers allowance Both live together.
I have a feeling they can't get the premium or sda because of their partner's pension but am not sure.

I think that there will be two problems, to receive the Severe Disability Premium (I assume this is what you mean by sda), the person needs to be living alone or considered to be living alone, this does not seem to be the case.
Secondly for payment of the SDP to be made they need to be receiving an Income Related benefit such as ESA(IR), based on your post, they have/will have too much income for this to be payable.
