ESA E50 capability for work questionnaire

Hi just some advice please, due too mental health issues, heart attack I haven't got an appointment until 19/5/16 at Birmingham settlement for help filling in form trouble is the form is due back today 4/5/16!! I have contacted DWP to explain was told no extensions allowed and can't promise me that my ESA payments will stop. I'm really worried about the form. Thank you.

Hi Micke,

Unlike PIP, there is no legislation allowing for the extension of the deadline for return of the ESA50 form.

However, if you are known to have mental illness your reassessment should continue, even though the form did not arrive on time.

The problem is that your form will be more than a few days late as your appointment is not for another 2 weeks! We would usually advise that you send in what you have done with a letter saying you will send the rest as soon as you can. Have you managed to complete any of the form yet or is it still entirely blank?

Thank you Mrs hurtyback for ur reply, in answear to you're question is I have only put my detail's not filled in anything else, I had to the DWP to tribunal in DEC ladst year for pip, which I won I just don't want the same thing happening again!. Shall keep you posted. Gulp here goes. Again thankyou
