I applied for PIP in summer 2014, it was my first claim for pip. I asked for a home visit with (capita) .
The lady assessor who was a nurse assessed me. duration case depending, was 2.5 hours in total.
She never snooped around my flat at all. she went into detail a lot about my illnesses etc. I had an army of medical evidence etc sitting ontop of the dining table for her, if she needed any additional info.
the assessment I found went well, considering prior to pip I had gone & won 2 tribunals for esa & dla.
i attempted to do a functionality test (medical) but i was too ill to lift my arms.
i was awarded enhanced pip on both accounts. til april 2017.
but now 18 months on, they sent me another pip reassessment form.
ps.... please make sure someone's with you to support during the home visit. it certainly helps. they tend not to want any input from the other person, rather everything from yourself.
finally i found the home visit, more easier less stressful, and its on your own turf not theirs.
Thank you all for your help. I've been awarded both daily living and mobility components at standard rate. To be reviewed in 2021 The assessment was fine, although the assessor arrived twenty minutes early but with the help of this forum I wasn't suprised. Thank you again
