PIP Home Viist Rules

Can someone refer me to link or advise home visit rules for PIP. ATOS have rehabilitation consultant letter requesting this with clear and obvious reasons why she can’t attend. We are claiming for higher mobility after all. Maximus have now sent 2nd and final appt letter at health centre. They never have written to explain they have declined home visit so I can appeal, when I call I’m told case will be referred back to assessor. Should I receive a letter to appeal against? I will contact DWP, MP and ATOS complaint meanwhile however id like to know I’m not risking her claim being cancelled for alleged non-attendance…Thanks Jason

I am afraid assessment decisions are not appealable.
You mention both ATOS and Maximus but the title of your post refers to PIP, Maximus only do ESA assessments!
She will only be given two opportunities to attend after which standard practice is to return the claimants file to the DWP for failing to participate, this can lead to the claim being closed.
Definitely contact her MP, they can often "persuade" the Assessment Provider that a home assessment is appropriate.
