Face to face was created by Miriam
Hi, thank you in anticipation. I recently filled in form for esa support group this was a renewal as I've been in receipt of this since 2010,. I received a letter saying that payments would continue as normal, and then a text from dwp saying, we have received your assessment and fit notes, and you don't need to send any further fit notes.your esa will continue. Now then 2 weeks later I receive a letter telling me I have to have a face to face assessment, Is this no alternative procedure? I'm really worried about this, thanks again anyone who can help.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Miriam and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
I'm afraid you are not the only person to receive confusing (and conflicting) letters recently. The only way you can be sure of what is happening is to phone DWP and ask if a decision has been made on your claim recently. If it has, you can then ask why you have been sent an appointment for a face2face.
If you did not have a face2face previously, you might want to have a look at our ESA guide so that you know what to expect.
ESA claims and appeals
You might want to bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future. This will allow you to return with further questions/comments about your ESA without having to start a new topic each time. It helps us enormously when everything relating to the same claim is kept in one place - and I hope you will find it useful too
