ESA MEDICAL SCHEDULED JULY 12TH 2016 was created by JEWELL
Hello everyone I am feeling sick to the stomach .
I was transferred from Incapacity Benefit to Esa 2 Years ago no medical was requested then, but now I have summoned for one !
Firstly I am on crutches and can only walk a few feet without stopping due to agonising pain! I also have Ostoarthritis in all joints and 2 torn ligaments 1 in each shoulder .Carpal Tunnel in my Hands from using the crutches for 9 years., Tennis elbow in both elbows, Plantar Faciitis in both feet and fallen arches. My right hip is grinding bone on bone! I had a total a knee replacment surgery 6 Years ago but still suffer with acute pain and the knee giving way. I have severe osteoarthritis in my neck too. I am clinically obese and under a Hospital specialist due to a 10 stone weight gain Oh and on top of all that I have bladder incontinence due to a bladder prolapse.Oh and Sleep Apnea I have to use a breathing machine at night due to me stopping breathing 27 times minimum in 1 hour which causes me chronic migraines and fatigue.
I use hearing aids too . I suffer from clinic depression and am on anti depressants and 32 other tablets a day.
I was given a 6th Floor appointment at Luton, but on ringing them they said I would classify as a risk if the lift stopped working so would have to go to Marylebone ! There is no way I could go on public transport so they said they would send me out a taxi . REALLY for a 3 hour round trip which I could not bear ! So now they have booked me for Aylesbury! I have no idea what happens at the Medical and what to expect . Please would anyone be able to advise me .
Many kind thanks

You can ask for a home assessment, but you will need to support of your GP as they will need to write to Maximus to explain why you cannot attend at their premises.

You can read about the assessment process in the ESA Claim guides, there is a section at the back that covers the assessment and the questions you are likely to be asked.
